DW wanted power users of OPUS to test beta version 6, so they offered a timed version to Evolution Subscribers. Preview #1 ended with January. They added even more features, and then asked for a second group of testers for timed Preview #2. By timed, I mean it only worked for a specific period, and anything created would no longer function after that time. Preview #2 ended in February.
DW said they wanted to add a couple of additional features, so there might be another preview. The first two previews were great. No problems (other than questions from us about "how does it work"). Most of the new features are intuitive, so it was easy to get immediate productivity improvements. To prevent competitive espionage, we are all sworn to secrecy (so I MAY receive a corrective note for mentioning even these vague details).
DW is knocking themselves out getting this together as quickly as possible. I’m sure you’d agree it makes good business sense to ensure the release is as solid and “bug” free as possible. They already feel the “heat” from everyone who loves OPUS, so it’s not like they have it, and forgot to mention it’s available. I am sure you will appreciate all the hard work DW has done in this next release. I’m with you, in that I can hardly wait for OPUS v6 to become available.
Cool Fred, thanks for all the great info. I'm pretty excited about Opus 6, that's for sure.
