It would be quite handy to have a live draw / paint function available. Nothing complicated, just the ability to draw onto a screen, perhaps with the option of selecting colours.

Just the ability to be able to draw a line from a to b would be rather nice without having to resort to complex coding.

Since posting this I have lost business because of a lack of this feature. I produce a "Virtual flip chart" which handles text fine but no drawing. I regularly use web applications for demo work and these all have this feature either as a whiteboard or for document highlighting.

Any idea from DW as to if this is:
A. Feasible
B. When......

Okay so it looks like there's some new functions... are they like the drawign api in flash?

I'd like to be able to make a simple drawing application for graffiti

Suggest find and read the User Guide pdf. Suggest download the trial and play with the included Sample Pubs --- that's better than words.

it's in Browse Sample Publications >>>> New Features Highlights. And maybe other places, plus some forum posts.

Just to go back to the Draw functions in Opus, and future possibilities.

I would love a more advance option here, with better drawing options, erase options for erasing part of lines, etc. Being able to do it without creating multiple frames for different colours, or line thickness as I currently do.

The current crop of drawing functions are very useful, but if it was possible to add a full drawing object to Opus publications allowing the end user to do some of the following shown in these example websites.

Mug Tug SketchPad an incredible powerful paint function:

Zwibbler an interesting vector drawing implementation with selection, movement and scaling:

Great example of what some simple coding can do in HTML5:

Or even supply a Interactive Whiteboard Plugin for developers, as I would be willing to pay extra for this type of feature.

Thanks.
