Okay so I am using the trial version of Creator 5.5 and I built my project and tested it through Creator and it works fine. Once I published it to a file (eventually a CD) I ran the publication and once the main page loads, the mouse moves a little bit by itself and it exits the presentation.

Is this because I am using a trial version that I can't see it or interactively use it?

PLEASE HELP ME...I need this done quick

brando608,

If you posted the imp file or at least the page with the problem maybe a forum member could look at the file and try to locate the problem.

If this problem never occurred to another user how can they help without additional information?

I think you will find this is a very helpful board "but" you need to supply more info.

Is this mouse movement and disappearance obvious in other applications?

I ask because I recently installed a new Logitech mouse/keyboard combo after having used an earlier version of a combo with no issues.

The cursor in my new combo regularly displays an independent life in that it moves and the disappears from the screen, usually in a lower left corner. Vigorous movement of the mouse restores the mouse, so it is more annoying than fatal.

I contacted Logitech several weeks ago, but from the absence of response I assume that this is not readily correctable.

My optical mouse skitters, jumps and often dies (USB error message) if it is on shiny surface. On a matte surface it is fine.

Hi Mac

My mouse/keyboard combo is a Logitech Cordless Desktop EX110. I previously used a Logitech MX3000, but it suddenly died.

These both are cordless with a laser mouse. Neither suffered from skitters or jumps, but the current mouse suffers from the random leaps and disappearances. It does it with all apps, not just Opus.

Hope this clarifies.

no...it's not the mouse because wherever my mouse is on the screen...it jumps to the same spot and moves the same motion everytime before exitting the presentation...even on other computers (creepy)

Here is my .imp file if anyone wants to look at it. I really need this resolved quick.

Again, it all works fine when I preview it in Opus Creator, but once I publish it, it does that wierd mouse and exit thing.

Sounds like you have used the keyboard and mouse recorder at some point and you are publishing that data. Either clear the recording (from the Publication menu in the editor) or turn off the publishing of the recordings (in the publish settings dialog).

I tested your pub and noted the problem as you explained. There is something crossed-up on your page one. I could be from adding and then deleting features or whatever.

What I done to correct the problem was created a new page.

Highlighted each item in the Organizer and Right-clicked and selected Copy from the menu that appeared.

Next I went to the new page I created and Right-clicked and did a Paste using the menu that appeared.

Then I deleted Page_1 and moved the new page that I created to the top of the Organizer and renamed it Page_1.

I had to redo the Transitions Properties for Page_1.

Next I had to redo the links to Page_1 from Titus invite, Pictures, and PDF page to re-establish each.

The pub work as I assumed it should.

Hope the above helps.

 NOTE: I just tried Duncan's suggestion and it fixed the cursor problem.
