We usually keep the offer open until a few days after the official release which will be early next month. I'd suggest people try to order before 9th May to be sure.

Pardon my slownest today but not quite sure whst this means -

"This version of Opus combines Pro and XE into a single product so the upgrade is available to both Pro and XE customers."

I've got 5.5 XE.

Will there be just one programme with version 6 ?

Yes, we have combined Pro and XE so there is only a single program with v6. In future specialist extensions to the program will be provided as separate individual Xtensions so that customers can pick and choose what they add.

We have found many feature requests are now very specialised. Some customers want more Flash and more web whilst others complain we've neglected interactive multimedia features. Even SCORM compliance has been requested in several different variations.

So we are now working on a library of dedicated solutions which you will be able to buy (or not) to extend Opus with. I also hope third parties will be developing Opus Xtensions too.

The first of these is a simple DLL to access the Windows Colour Selector and is provided free with v6. There will obviously be a SCORM Xtension in due course and I hope there will be a cel animation tool. Others will be more esoteric and appeal only to specific projects.

Hope this helps.

3rd Party plug-ins sound very interesting alright. How will plug-ins work and how can 3rd parties develop such plugins. Will Digital Workshop be releasing an API or framework for this soon?
