Have DW added atransition that realistically simulates a page being turned..The old page curl never really created the book effect...I am in need of this look..I hoped that the new version will finally allow this feature that some other apps seem to have.
Can any of you tell me if this is now a feature?

It seems to do what is says on the tin---page curl ----and as far as I can see, it's the same as version 5.5?? It looks like an OK representation of a page curl but definitely not a page 'turn' transition??

I did some playing around some time ago. Got to an effect, but not a realistic "page turner" transition.

Create a TextObj and fill it with text and add a background via Properties. Create a Frame that is twice as wide. Insert the TextObj into the Frame (keep to Right). Then you may use a Button or whatever trigger to Animate the Frame. I think "Spin" is the action... 180 deg. etc etc.

Just missing the look of a bent page and the shading and shadowing. I suppose how much realism needed is the issue.

It is a shame this effect was never created...A lot of publications use it..and the book effect is a nice way of recreating a multimedia publication.

One day maybe..Do any of you know of an application that will reproduce this effect..I really need it.

Flash does realistic page turns very well. There are numerous versions of it floating out on the web, both for Flash and Swishmax. There is also a pre-built template sort of thing with a tool of interactions called Raptivity.

I've seen action scripts for the very effective interactive page turn we see in flash drifting around the web. I wonder if action script can be rewritten in opus script?
