This is difficult to describe but hopefully the attached screenshot will clarify my text.
I have dropdown button hotspots on my master page, which forms part of my menu system.
The problem is when running the publication, and I’m on a page trying to activating the dropdowns from the menu, the mouse also activates hotspots which are under the dropdown.
Although the action is performed (i.e. jump to page) when the mouse is clicked on the menu, it is irritating and confusing to see the hotspot on for instance on a picture under the dropdown also becoming active.
I have tried putting the master page hotspots on layers but this does not help.
Is there a way out here?

Advice much appreciated thanks.

One way to stop this is to script your mouse over. On the images, run the script when the mouse is over. Use the script to check where the a menu in use or not.

The exact coding will depend on how your menus work.

You should be able to do this by disabling the hotspot objects when the menu is shown and re-enabling them when the menu is closed.
