I have for some time been looking for a copy protection solution. I know a few people (including myself) have tried Macrovision Safedisc but after 4 weeks of getting nowhere I gave up and looked elsewhere. My program has now been encrypted using Hexalock copy protection. It was successful at the first attempt and they also protected the video files which I didn't embed into the publication. Just thought some might like to know.

Looks interesting, but what does it cost?? I couldn't see any price.

Hi Sandi and others...
I have been using this product for a while and I can tell you guys this is the real thing! It uses VDH (Virtual Digital Hologram)

The software is free and it helps you to lock and protect your data. Then you have to purchase from your local distributor the CD-RX where you transfer the final product.

Basically the process is very simple:
1-You encode, lock your executable and all your different data on your pub using the "Autolock Wizard" and.

2-You move the final "locked product" to the CD-RX media which makes your publication unbreakable, the cd can't be copied or the files moved into the hardrive to be used. It is a GREAT PRODUCT!

You should have a local distributor of CD-RX media, here in Australia we have a few, I purchase the CD-RX (A$1.85 each but cheaper if you purchase in bundle of 100) and produce my masters and if I have to do several copies for my customers I do it myself using my burning sofware.

If a have a massive production then I use my local licenced Hexalock which have the proper machine to do massive production.
Just go here to download your software which is free:
http://hexalock.co.il/downloads/?PHPSES ... 10fc2849a5

I hope this helps

Hi Koala,
Apart from the software download, is it fair to assume any CD-Writter can do the job....

Hi, as I said before, I using my standard burning software (Nero) and my standard cd-RW to produce the cd's BUT only work is you use the CD-RX.
This is good when I produce up to a 10 cd's but If I need a massive production I send it to my duplication guy who uses this technology.
I hope this helps

Glad to be of service Paul....
I was just wondering if DW should contact this people producing this technology so it can be incorporated in Opus Pro version 7 so at the time of burning, Opus give us the option to use this Lock Wizard and since the Hexalock software is free to use and you need to purchase the CD-RX from then, well, I think it will be a win win situation for both, DW and Hexalock.
What do you think guys? Anybody from DW listening....
