Very very happy with V6 with the exception of the following minor glitches I am experiencing

1. The infomation screen showing the total edit timiing etc does not appear in the Publication Resources when opened.

2. On double clicking on an object on the screen to check or change its resources the panel opens but in a locked status requireing a further double click on the object to open it.

Minor points in what is an excellent programme, so if anyone has any ideas would appreciate them.

Hi Danny,

I'm not sure that I'm correctly interpreting what you mean, but here goes :)

If you access the Publication Properties, either by right-clicking on the Publication Name in the organiser, or by selecting Edit > Publication Properties, the standard Properties dialogue box displays. From that, when you select the "Information Tab", 4th from the left, you can see the panel, which amongst other things, shows you the total editing time. Is that what you are looking for? To my knowledge, that has never appeared in the "Additional Resources" Tab, or anywhere else -- but I could be wrong about that.

The only way I have experienced this has been for me to first open an object's context menu (by right-clicking the object) and selecting "Lock out" (2nd from the top). If I subsequently double-click on that object I can only access a restricted range of features and objects.

If this is what you are reporting, to remove the restrictions you need to again right-click the object and uncheck "Lock out".

If you are mystified as to why some of your objects are locked out, a possibility might be that you have inadvertently copied a locked object.

Incidentally, both situations that I've described existed in v5.

If I have not identified your problem, please come back with more detailed information.

Thanks Ray

Discovered that I had not fully opened the publication properties and had actually copied a couple of lock out into the programme. so minor glitches now gone.
