I cannot find the launch e-mail action in flex. This was a bit surprising, as it is a pretty fundamental item to have on your website!!

Does anyone know a work-around for this?, i.e. I want a button which will launch the users e-mail software and open a new e-mail with my e-mail address in the 'to' box (just as it does in a standard opus pro publication)

Any ideas very much appreciated.

Create a scripting action and then in the script enter getURL("mailto:you@somedomain.com");

You can further create a more robust mailto URL using any of the mailto generators on the web.

Thanks bwpatric

I found that getURL(...) didn't work (I got the script error message: Action (1, 0) : Undefined identifier 'getURL')

but if I changed to LaunchURL(...) it works fine...was this what you had in mind?

Thanks again.

/Mark

getURL should work. I have tried it on a published .SWF from Flex and it works fine. I guess whatever works for you right?
