Opus: Opus 9.01
OS: Windows 7
System: Heinz 57
Can anyone tell me how I can resolve the end users "PC name" and insert it into an Opus variable in a web based publication?

I know that there is a system variable for the "SYSTEM_USERNAME" but would also like to know the name of the PC that the publication is running on.

You could use the registry read from this key....HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters...Hostname.

And write that into a Variable.

Thanks for your prompt reply David,

I can see this is the information I require in the registry, but how exactly do I enter the path in the label of the "Read data from Registry" action.

Is the last part "Parameters...Hostname" or "Parameters\Hostname" or something else? I have not used this action before!!

Thanks
Dave
