I can't find my Doc View tab. It doesn't matter what kind of publication I'm in. It's not in my tools. Can someone help me with this? My old computer crashed and I had to build another one.

You don't mention which version of OPUS you are using. Please add this information into your Signature within your Profile so we'll always know in the future.

In OPUS v6, they combined the "Create Browser" and the "Doc View Frame" within the same Toolbar icon. There's a pull-down arrow which allows you to switch between them.

IF you use the Doc View Frame often, you may want to Customize your Toolbar to include a separate Doc View Frame icon. Go to the TOOLS option on the main menu, and select "Customize." Click on the "Commands" tab, then highlight "Insert." The third row, third column has the "Doc View Frame" icon which you can Drag & Drop anywhere on your vertical Toolbar.

I have OpusPro XE 5.5. I went into customize and put the Doc View on my tool bar but it's grayed out?

You definitely want to upgrade to OPUS v6, it's much more powerful than v5.5.

Here'a what you have to do to RESET your Register:

Quote:
It sounds like a possible corrupt entry in the Registry.

Try clicking the icon to launch Opus.
As soon as you have clicked the Icon hold down the CTRL and ALT key.
(Don't press the key until after you have clicked the Icon.)
You should get an option appear to delete the registry settings; say YES.

Note this will reset Opus to its default settings and will remove any customizations you may have set.

Fred,

Why would 6 solve my problem? From what I've read, the changes have nothing to do with Flex or the video side of Opus. I am still considering upgrading but I need to solve my immediate problem first and I have this feeling that 6 isn't the solution.

I can see some avi files, all wmv and mpg files, and swf files in DocView but what good does that do me when it comes to publishing? I can see some avi files, no mpg files, and all wmv files in my exe publications but no swf files in Flex publications. Windows Media player does not play some of the avi files but all of the mpg and wmv files. Nero plays everyting and so does Premiere. What a mess. Does this have anything to do with Windows Media plugins? It seem like Windows is in the business of selling plugins these days.
