I am having trouble playing a swf video file inside a opus flex Internet pub
The 2 minute flash video was made from flash video mx the video frame rate and pub frame rate are the same (20) I have tried every video option in flex on top rendered and so on

if i run the web page from my hard drive in IE6 or 7 or fire fox it works
great but when I upload the file and try from the web the video starts fine
and when the video stream is finished the video stops

(for example the video is 2 minutes if the streaming bar shows it loading
and it only takes 45 seconds the video stops and of after that it will play great)

also the video play great in the html file that Flash video MX generates
with the SWF when uploaded to the web

I wish there was a way to play in a browser window or doc view but this option does not exist in flex

does any one have any idea?

Maybe I haven't understood your problem, but inserting a flash file into Opus Flex is something I've done on a number of occasions. Select INSERT - VIDEO, then browse for the swf file in the properties box. As far as video type is concerned, I've always found that chromakey is the best option.

Hope this helps.

Roger

PS: After Insert - Video you need to draw your video frame of course.

Make sure the Flash file you are trying to play from within a Flex publication is published to Flash 5 or lower. Opus can only handle Flash files 5 and on down I believe.

Have you tried inserting a Flash 7 file? This works for me, though I use Swish rather than Flash.

Panels menu. Export. You should then see the panel where you can specify what version of Flash to export your Swish file.

Swish 2 is discontinued, so I guess you must have downloaded it some time ago. Download Swishmax - and, when you've installed it, you'll see the Export tab on the right of screen.
