[b]I have just installed my CD OPus Pro V6 and the page templates will not load. Am I doing something wrong?

Can you list exactly what you do to produce the problem that you describe?

The more information you provide, the more chance that someone might be able to help you.

Please click on Profile at the top of the page and enter details of your hardware, OS, and Opus version (like I have at the bottom of this post.) That information will appear with every post and might help us to help you.

Not sure if you mean the page templates are not there....or if they are there, but nothing happens when you double click on one.


If the templates are missing from Opus, (I'm sure you have tried this), but try re-installing Opus. When I first installed the latest version of V6, the component galleries didn't load. I re-installed and they appeared. I didn't un-install first....so try that first....if that doesn't work, try un-installing Opus V6, then re-installing.
As Sentosa suggests...if you describe exactly what you are doing, we can help you further....hopefully.

Thanks for your advice but I still cannot load the templates. I have checked the updates but have now contated the sales team

I decided to check the page templates after reading your post and found that nothing happens when I click on the Page Templates tab (left side in Organizer). I have the downloaded version of Opus 6.

System Information States:
Version v6.00
Level: Opus professional
Build Date: Jun 18 2007 15:01:07
Build Type: Release

In OPUS v6, when I click on Page Templates I get 15 examples including: Video Page, Slideshow Page, Text Page, Text Footer, Image Page and Heading Page.

You can create your own and add them so you don't have to re-invent "fire" for each Pub, and you can standardize the position of headings and graphics for future projects. I'm not sure why you don't see anything. Thought I'd drop a note of what should be there...

When I click on Page Templates, I also do not have any examples apprearing. Mine is the boxed version.

I was only able to see and use the "Page Templates" using the Wizard feature in Opus Pro 6:

Create a new blank publication using Tools | Startup Wizard
Select "Create a new publication from template"
Select from the next window "Opus professional
Select from the next Window titled "New Publication" which ever type you want
Select the format
Select the pub size

The new pub will open and show the page created as a Master Page and the Page Templates will be populated.

This is not how this feature works in Opus Pro 5.5, the templates are viewable when selecting the Page Templates tab without using the Wizard feature.
