I'm making a Flash SWF file for a website. The SWF will have several dozen buttons that each stop all sounds and then play an individual song when clicked. But the SWF file is ending up being over 100MB.
I was able to reduce the SWF file to 60kB by playing the website link of the audio files instead of actually embedding the songs into the SWF file. The problem is the linked songs play back okay in the Preview Publication, but they don't play after actual publication.
Here's the line of script I'm using to play sound:
PlaySound("http://www.the_website_name.com/songs/song_name.mp3")
Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?
