Hi All,

I would like to learn how to get system info to display in a pub window. I have been pointed to the Registry and Dll files . Where do i find Dll files i can incorporate into my pubs , is there a site that offers such sharing ?

One way is to launch the system info file by using the launch file command.

The EXE which gives the system info is:- MSINFO32.exe which should be found at C:\WINDOWS\system32\dllcache.
if you use the switch -----/report C:\TEMP\test.txt
it will create a text file called test.txt in the temp directory which will have the system info. this could be opened in opus.

It takes about 2 minutes to complete this operation, so not ideal

For the full information on how to use the System Information Switches see Microsoft Support http://support.microsoft.com/kb/300887
You can be selective about which information you 'extract' so you could have different buttons for different categories.

A lot of the information may also be available in the registry. This would be an easier way--- to read the registry key.
