I have been provided a laptop through work, with various audio/video files which effectively is a database of files for the company I work at. I have been asked to update this however the file which these feed off has been compiled as an Application file from Opus Pro whereby the previous owner of the laptop has done. Is there anyway of opening the Application file in order to periodically update this through Opus?

I can locate the Application file but can't work out how to undo it!

Any help greatly appreciated!!

Many thanks
Elliott

If you are asking how you can open an OPUS EXE file to make changes -- you can't. I've been told not even the developers of OPUS could accomplish that feat. Once an OPUS application has been Published, it can not be openned.

Try to locate the ILM which was used to create the EXE file. Using OPUS, you could then make changes and re-Publish the EXE application after making your changes.

thaks demofred.

if I am looking for the ilm file - it would have to be on the hard drive that all the other applications are on I presume??

reason being searching the hdd now and nothing appears to be coming up for it. is there any specific file name I need to keep a look out for.

if i can crack this, it will save me a lot time!!

many thanks

Do a search for *.ilm. If it finds something, you're good to go, if not, you're in trouble.

I'd start rebuilding it now, unless you know the name of the original developer who might have a backup.
If anyone could open the application file I wouldn't be using Opus.
