To John Wolfmeyer and to Jim's family

This is very sad news indeed.

I have to say that Jim was an exceptional talent. His intellect was enormous, his messages frequent, brief, and to the point and his charity in helping those who were willing to listen and learn, absolutely endless.

Jim and I exchanged emails from time to time and for a while I was on his RV list as well as he reported in about his travels in retirement. We never met, but I admired him and stood in awe of his knowledge and ability.

Jim is probably creating his beloved Route 66 up there for us all to meet and travel on one day.

My sincere thoughts do go to Jim's family. May I say this to Jim; "Thank you mate for all your help, friendship and friendly banter over the past few years"

Rest in Peace

Human fraility is a reality. We are now celebrating Christmas and even in the middle of this sudden and sad news we must realize that Jim was just a human like you and me.

A person with many weaknesses but also a person who has so much to offer, a person who never say no to another person looking for help so there is no shock, only a realisation that we are all weak. We need to help one another, and also we need the help of God.

May God-Man who was born on Christmas day receive Jim in his humble heavenly manger and give him the happiness and fulfilment that he may not have in his earthly life. May He look after his wife and help us to understand that we are not alone in this world.

Such sad news...

I'll remember Jim fondly as a marvellous character to have corresponded with over many years; his direct answers somtimes made me gulp, but he was never less than honest!

Once he retired, he sent me some marvelous images of places he was visiting as he toured across America... so I feel that at least he had the chance to enjoy his time on Earth before he had to leave.

I hope his family know how appreciated he was by the Illuminatus community.

Linda

Am just getting out of the shock.
Although I am based in Nigeria,Africa, Jim was very close as both a friend and great teacher of illuminatus/Opus.

May His soul REST IN PERFECT PEACE
Also, my condolences to Bernice,John and other members of Jim's family

For once at a loss for words ... Jim was a great support and -- despite any human frailties (and who among us has none) -- a loyal friend who gave solid advice, often with humor, always with candor.

We will all miss him greatly.

Post subject: Jim Wolfmeyer's life and death
PostPosted: January 15th, 2005, 1:48 pm
My name is Sophia Wolfmeyer. I am the sister-in-law of Jim. I have been married to Jim's brother Bill for 32 years. I think of my husbands' family as my own and hope that they think of me the same way. I have also been a registered nurse for 29 years. Bill and I were very close to Jim and we want to thank you all for the condolences. This last Christmas was difficult because Jim was not with us in person to celebrate and to be with his only child Kathleen. As his family and friend I felt a special bond with Jim. I tried to help Jim stop drinking but it only became worse over the years, which is what happens if the person does not get help and find it in themselves to help themselves. But I also want to tell everyone that Jim did not die totally from alcoholism! But from the overuse of Tylenol -Actephenimen. When he was admitted to the hospital he had liver toxicity due to the Tylenol. It is not well known that there are many, many deaths due to this every year. This has had very little publicity. I have seen in the U.S. only one public announcement on television. It is nearly impossible to survive this kind of liver toxicity and as you know Jim had alcoholism against him as well. So I hope that this message may help someone avoid the same fate that befell my friend and brother-in-law. Thank you Sophia
