I beg to differ on this....Although I have no experience yet doing so on Opus Pro 6.0 I have done this many times on Opus 2.6

Only because Im knda new at this site and havent figured out how to upload stuff or put pics in yet...if you E-mail me, Id be glad to give you an open version of the routine that will do as you discribe. - you can happly pull appart and mess with.

It does a great job as a jog-shuttle control for video in both directions. :)

It MUST be added - that I myself wasnt the one that came up with this either......it was one of the guys at DW...I actually asked DW this question almost 2 years ago, and I was sent back this routine as a work around for video manipulation, so In all fairness, I can't take the credits for it.

The version you will get allows you to slow down or speed up ( but its pre-selected by you prior to running. - the later version I ended up making based on this concept goes likea sort of a T-bar gear shift - the further upwars you move the T-bar.. the faster the footage runs.. then at 50% its normal....then the further downwards you slide the T-bar.. the slower the footage plays. ( Whats actually happening behind the scenes is a series of pre-set speeds hidden in hotspots - with an indicator moving alongside the T-bar itself...as you move the T-bar, the indicator moves and on "collision enter" the pre-set speed runs the footage - on "collision exit" it stops rnning at that speed and enters the NEXT set of pre-set speeds....but yea, have a crack at it, and let me know what you think... I like it and use it a LOT for my kind of projects.

:D Cheers mate!

The attached file may give you some ideas. It doesn't speed a video up - but uses the seek command to move the video forward and back by an amount. The amount is 1 second but this is easily changed or could be a variable.

nice file, maybe i can do something with it.
My original idea was to add a pitch control on a musicplayer i made.
When you can change the speed of a video object the same must be possible with music.

... maybe you can use the flash video format and put the controls inside the video instead of creating it in Opus?
