Just a quick one - I got a contract to produce a multiscreen interactive in-house display system for a Gloria Jeans Coffee store here in Sydney.
Using Opus 6.0, I managed to produced a nice project thats being displayed over 3 large flat screen HD tv's that are spread out around the store, as well as a projection on to one of the main glass walls of the store.
The system uses these 4 outputs via a signal splitter and its all controlled via a single PC ( intel duo ) with 4 gig of DDR 3 and a half gig drive - as wel as having the video driven via a 1 gig card.
It's in a shopping center, and its only one store - and Im waiting for the Gloria Jeans head office to give it the nod or not.
But from a personal perspective, I really dont care. - I actually did it! ( I actually designed, produced and delivered a real-world project thats seen by many people every day! Even if the guys at head office give it the thumbs up and this really takes off..... it will never hold a candle to the very first time I ( as nervous as hell ) switched it on ..and saw a dream become a reality.
If this is the furthest I EVER get.... I am still as pleased as hell.
Id REALLY like to thanks all those that were very, VERY supportive with some great advice and technical help in making this all possible - ( especially regarding using multi-screens ). This site must be the holy grail of truly dedicated people. - not only dedicated to using Opus, but dedicated to helping those in need, I greatfully thank you all.
