 Post subject: multiple monitors

In the drop down menu where i can choose the monitor i see 1 to 16.
Can i insert more videocards in my compter to get 16 monitors on one computer?

Yes you could add additional cards up to the maximum but you would need some sort of special adapter to get these onto a motherboard. I added just one extra graphics card and then found out that I could have linked a monitor straight out of port no 2 of the graphics card. This does however have a "funny" connector. With an additional flat screen monitor the whole lot only came to £35!

If it were possible to get 16 monitors up (8 dual cards) and running you could emulate the slide carousel shows that were around in the 1970s (that dates me!) which used 150 projectors all at once.

I did a test today with 4 monitors, works great. Maybe i'm gonne make a real cockpit with a lot of screens for an exhebition in october this year. If so... i will post a photo.

For dual, triple and quad head adaptors you could try Matrox. I use the DualHead2Go module with my work laptop - effectively gives you 3 monitors using laptop screen. Some degradation of screen quality but not too noticeable.

Edit: Here's a US company that seems to have every conceivable option for multiple display :D
