Is there a limit in the number of lines in a script object?

I've got to line number 2158 and it won't let me add any more. Infact it seems to be more like a limit in the number of characters, as it stops part-way through a line.

I guess I can just create another script object? - the Opus help files recommends using a single script object for each page

Any help appreciated.

You can use multiple script objects per page.
I seem to remember a similar length of script that that wouldn't take any more lines.

cheers

Thanks for that Paul.

My project is looking OK up to now with multiple script objects. It also helps me keep track of the script if I use multiple objects, a bit like using different folders for different functions.

Its an educational application for a local wildlife trust.

It's aim is for the user to learn about adaptations that have evolved in wildlife, such as clawed feet, or an avocets(bird) bill.

The user firstly choses a habitat, then he has different 'bits' of animals he can combine (bodies, necks, bills, feet etc) by drag and drop.

Finally the combination is automatically scored for moving, feeding and surviving in the chosen habitat.

It's the last bit that is proving to be a bit line intensive for my scripts. Lots of if...then...else's. I'm sure I'm not the worlds most efficient scripter either....but it will work.

One other minor point -- When the page loads, Opus reads the script objects in sequence from the bottom one up in the organiser.
