Did anyone of you ever made a Binary Clock in opus ?
It's not that dificult to make but i need one for the school of my daughter.
If i can download a .imp of a binary clock it would be very helpfull and don't need to invent the wheel again.

Kind regards,

Fred

Simple is relative...

Debug.trace((8).toString(2))

Here's a (relatively) simple one.
A visually uncomplicated decimal >> binary conversion is easier to read than the binary clocks with dot pattern displays.

Hi, this is one I knocked up, it's not the most efficient scripting, but at least you can see what's going on.

Regards, Buns

Just another example using three columns (true binary).

Nice clock Mack, but there is a problem with the hours is think.
On my computer it's 23 h but the binary hour displays dot 1 (= 10)

Hi Ad,

Not sure what you mean - it's 23:22 here and the clock is showing the right dots.

Can you screen shot the problem?

Mack

Hi Mack,

I put the var in text under the dots to see the actual time of my computer.
Look at the screenshot for the problem.

Cheers Ad,

But that's not mine! I built a true binary clock that has only three columns using the traffic light colours for the dots.

Whoops, I'll take a look at it. It displays BCD or binary coded decimal, easier to read than straight binary, it all depends what you like really. :-)

Sorry for the double post, right it's fixed, typo typical of why you shouldn't get carried away with 'copy and paste'. :-)

Same way you read a six column column except that you need to add more / bigger numbers.

Working from the top add the coloured dots in each column if shown.

32+16+8+4+2+1

The three columns will give you the hours / mins / secs in 24hr format.

You could quite easily change the code to work for a six column clock by creating a binary string for each digit instead and having 24 buttons.
