Hello

Is there a way to drag and drop a text input box and delete and rewrite the text many times? I noticed that Opus accepts the drag and drop option for the text input box, but in practice I can write the text but not drag or drop the box.
Thanks.

Best Regards

Please include your Operating System and version of OPUS with your question.

You are correct. While OPUS says you can Drag & Drop an Input Text Object, I was not able to do so, because OPUS thinks I want to add more information into my Text Input Variable rather than enabling the ability to drag it.

I've come up with a work-around which uses a Text Object which contains the same Variable you name in your Text Input Object. I have it set where when you press the TAB or ENTER key the original Text Input Object is hidden, and the replacement Text Object is shown. You can then drag and drop the Text Object into a Frame/whatever, where upon the Variable is reset. I created a second drop object so you can drag the Text Object back to its original location which then allows you to repeat the entire process.

Look at my enclosed sample...

Hello

Thank you very much for your support. I managed to solve the problem following this action: 1-I've created a frame and enclosed the text input; 2- I opted for no border in the box and cursor changing to grabbing hand while on top of box, this gives the impression that the input box is alone and can be dragged to anywhere and you can rewrite as many times you want.
I didnĀ“t write the version of my Opus, because I'm always a little embarressed when I say that I have v.2.81, and I can't open imp files done in the latest versions. Anyway still does the work that I need.
I've posted another question related with text input boxes that I hope will get some answer as this one is quite difficult.
Once again thank you very much for your help.

Best Regards

Texugo
