I have been using Doc View to show PDF files within my application.

Whilst this works ok, it does not look very good and at times it is bit slow to load; waiting for acrobat reader to load. Can somebody please tell me if there is better way of allowing the users to view, to print and download PDF files from the Opus application created.

:(

I too find PDFs slow to load and are not very attractive so I convert them to Flash using Adobe Flash Paper. They load more quickly and look much better. The downside is the cost (around £70) and some users may need to update their flash player.

You need to be aware that FlashPaper has been abandoned by Adobe, does not currently work in certain browsers, and will not be developed further to cope with display issues that emerge in new browsers. It's a shame as I used FlashPaper quite extensively in my courses - but I've now moved over to Print2Flash when I can't use PDF. At least it works in all browsers (at the moment) even if it produces bigger files.

Just downloaded an evaluation of Print2Flash - it's good and looks a little more configurable than Flash paper - cheers!

It's quite good - and it is nice to be able to remove the branding - but the text output looks a bit less sharp than what you're probably used to in FlashPaper. Still, it works :)
