Hi,

I want to launch MS Paint from Opus publication then instruct it to paste clipboard.

Is there anyway of doing this?

Also I remember a website was listed on this forum a while back that listed all the common parameters for Windows apps, like Control Panel. Anyone know of this list or if the website still exists?

Thanks

Ronnie,

Thanks for posting info about NirSoft utility. I had a concern the executable might be 'too invasive', for example it permits remote access. So I started reading their info. Did not find any more info on that.

What I did find in NirCmd FAQ is that licensing has some restrictions:

However, you are not allowed to:

* Include my software as a part of commercial software package.

That to me seems to preclude using it with an Opus Pub distribution.

Hi Lar?

I agree : for comercial use you need to pay for it, but in the buissenis I work we do not sell the publications.

For example:

I needed a function to save frames that where copied to the clipboard and saved to a file. There are a lot of command line tools for this but of course, as read in a topic on OUR forum :

would not characterize a $5 download as "wild capitalism." More like requesting a nominal fee to offset a large investment of time and a clearly measurable investment of money (storage fees). Plus, the knowledge provided via hard-earned experience is worth something in itself

Not everything is for free.....but it is a additional tool for Opus, many of the features that are not (yet) in Opus are placed within this tool!
:D
Best Regards,

Ronnie

Thx Ronnie.

I totally agree... here in this context about a utility program, and in the other thread about modest/token payment for learning tools/information that accelerates the learning curve and saves time, pain and agony of figuring it out in isolation.

As for NirSoft, I just didn't see anything about comm'l pricing. Admittedly I did not view much of the website.

Thx.

Thanks everyone, will look into this solution.

I can just tell the user to use the Print Screen button too. Might be of interest to DW, if you can print what is on screen, there might be an easy way for DW to have it saved as a PNG too, or BMP depending how the print engine us used with Windows.
