I want to have a video still in a (multi?)frame.
user can then click either of 2 buttons to play either of 2 videos. (To replace the still image)
I cannot work out how to get a seamless transition, i.e. no blanking out of video frames as the new video begins
Does anyone know how to get a seamless transition between videos?
all help appreciated...

EDIT

solved it...
each video clip in its own frame in a multiframe, used AVI (not wmv), used chroma-key (not on-top) disabled overlay (otherwise Opus crashes),
buttons go to different frames in the multiframe. More or less instant transitions between clips.
:)

I don't know how to get the multiframe to revert to frame 1 when any given video finishes playing.
Setting a 'show frame for X seconds' (when X is the length of the video doesn't work.)
It's fine if the user uses a button action to interrupt and go to the start frame...

Look at the Synchronise to End triggers.

Thanks Mack, I will do that.... (next week)
I assume a trigger on the multiframe to synchronise to end of video object with action to 'go to' a specified frame...?

Hi Mac,

I've never really had much call to use this triggers but they do seem quite straightforward. I think it's Fred who know a lot about these things, so if he's around he can confirm but I did a quick test as follows.

Add normal video box. Add a sync to end trigger with an action (mine simply displayed a debug statement. Ran publication and when video reached end, debug popped up.

I assume that if you add the goto MF1 on each video then it should return there after played.

Good luck,

Mack
