Your signature says Windows 7 -- what OS are you using?

I seem to remember having this problem before, and I thought I used the menu option VIEW, then SHOW ALL HIDDEN, but it doesn't work now?

I added a button, used lock out, then conceal in editor. It shows in preview, but can not be seen or selected in the editor?

Lock Out and View are design mode tools - they will not affect preview or published.

Controlling permissions from the navigation tree seems to be broken. It never used to do this in 5.5 and doesn't do it from the permissions tab. I'm afraid that you won't be able to fix it - although DW might. The best you can do is use a script to access the object and hide it or move it off screen.

Oddly, if Opus had a feature to permanently hide objects (and scripts) which could only be revealed if the correct password was entered on start-up, then this would be a very useful feature rather than a bug.

P.S I think you mean Windows 7 RC1

You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Hi Miko,

Sorry, but as I said above, lock out is a design mode function and not a runtime property and therefore no script command exists to identify your ghosted objects.

If you cannot remember the name of the ghost objects, I do have a script that will export the name of all objects on a page and you can work it out from the list.

If you need me to do this, email me the page or publication.
