It's been about nine months now since I used the distribution wizard to create a setup program, and now I'm having a problem I haven't encountered previously. Although I'm following the procedure I've used before, I'm getting an error message: "Unable to find the files to create the setup".

If anyone knows what's going on I'd appreciate their advice.

Hi Roger,

Having taken a quick peek at the distribution wizard, there seems little that could go wrong.

Is it during the wizard that the error occurs, if so at what point or could you post a screen shot. Or is it the created EXE that has the error?

My only thought would be that it's similar to the other error we've had posted where for some reason certain DLLs appear to be missing from the Opus setup.

Have you tried to create any other basic packages?

Mack

Hi Mack

Thanks for your interest. Here's what I'm seeing.

The same thing is happening with the most basic publications - so I reckon I should try reinstalling Opus.

Hi Roger,

Yes, a re-install sounds like a good idea. I'd also clear the registry for DW settings.

Regards,

Mack

Hi Mack

Turns out it was an anti-virus problem. I installed Vipre some time ago, and when I reinstalled Opus it informed me that "a known bad file was blocked from opening: DWSetup.exe (Trojan)". Strange, I know, but when I deactivated Vipre the problem I had with the Opus distribution wizard was resolved.

Regards

Roger
