A few thoughts on Opus resources.

1. It would be nice if all the little reusable routines that crop up on the Forum could be placed and made meta-searchable within the download section.

2. What about a manual in PDF form for those of us who purchased Opus via download? Help files have their use, but you can't take them to the toilet. :-)

3. Same as 2 for the resource disk. I still have my old resource disk from ILM 4.5, but I'm sure many nice new things have come along since. I'd probably order it even if I had to pay a nominal sum to get it.

Hi,

Thank you for your enquiry.

1. This is an interesting idea. I will investigate further and see if there is any way of implementing this.

2. All of the User Guides and supplementary manuals are available in PDF format from the following links:

We have also converted the Opus Presenter and Opus Pro help files to PDF format and these are available from the following locations:

Opus Presenter 04 Help File:

http://www.digitalworkshop.com/document ... o_Help.pdf

Opus Pro 04 Help File:

3. We should be able to send you the latest Resource disc for the price of postage. Please contact our Sales team on 0870 120 2186 or e-mail sales@digitalworkshop.com for further assistance.

Kind regards,

The appreciation that you guys get is well founded. I'll take a look at the PDF's. I'd searched the "Downloads" and "Resource" sections and didn't see them. Thanks also for the tip about the resource disk. I'll have one of those...

As to the downloable routines, I mentioned meta-searchable as I have to work under SCORM. The searchable part of it is one of the good and useful things. However, even if you just had good descriptions of routines and what they could be used for on the download page, it would be a lot of help.

Thanks for your kind response,
Dave

Nearly 500 pages of pertinent poop!!! Maybe it will cut down on my posting needs...

Thank goodness for:

1. Work related.

2. High speed/capacity printer.

Thanks again to the Digital Workshop Wizards...you're the best.

The Opus Pro Help file points to Presenter. Like me, I am sure most will figure out they really want: http://www.digitalworkshop.com/document ... o_Help.pdf

I hope DW team don't take this laments to heart. They are doing a great job and as promised, will revamp the documents to reflect the changes as implemented in 4 XE. They do appreciate that new users would find it difficult to read a manual meant for a previous version of opus.

I hope the updates will come through shortly.
