Hi

Has anyone created a timer for a flex pub? Clocks don't work and 'wait' seems to be ignored in a script. I need the timer to be running in the background whilst other things are happening. I've tried a few methods of introducing a delay so that a count can be increased, but found nothing that does the job effectively.

Any ideas appreciated.
Many thanks
Dan

Hi Dan,

Isn't it possible to use the ticker in your project?
You can add a variable to a script that will be updated with 1 each second the ticker works.
Another script may trigger the action when the variable is equal to for example 10.

I tried to attach an example, but I can't upload it (Sorry, you have reached your maximum Upload Quota Limit of 10 MB??????).

If you want I can send it to your email adrress.

That's a great call thanks Oscar. I've never used the ticker, so didn't think of it. It's easy to use as well.

( I just had the ticker increase my Clock variable by 1 each second if Running = 1. Start and Stop buttons then change the Running variable to 1 and 0).

Cheers
Dan
