The only available Pause feature is using a Video object. So, create a Video object, then, using the Browser, tell it to show you ALL files (not just videos). Select your WAV (or MP3) file. Make sure you UN-tick the box to Start Automatically.

Create a Timeline, and at the spot you want your audio to start, place a Play Video marker. At the time you want to pause the audio using the Timeline, place a Pause Video marker.

This next part is critical: When you want to restart the audio, use another Play Video marker BUT make sure you UN-tick the box in the pop-up window that says "Send Synch to Start Trigger." If you don't, then the audio will re-start from the beginning.

I hope I have understood your question, and given you a clear answer.

Hi Fred

I don't know if your reply is useful to others - but it has certainly given me a spot-on solution for a new project I'd been contemplating. Thank you.

Andrew
