Just needed a previously available Action (Attributes) in OPUS v7 and can't find it (along with all Actions after Launch). Look at screen grab comparing Actions in v7 and v6. These Actions are missing:

Browser
Database
Clock
File Management
MultiFrames
Attributes
Window
Clipboard

Were they moved somewhere else? I'm using OPUS Professional v7.01. Just talked with Chris Jones who still has 7.0 and he has all the missing Actions. DW: What's going on?

Hi Fred,
It's all there in my Opus v7.01.
I haven't got the QuickAmin tab showing, maybe that's why...
Otherwise my settings are the default ones.

cheers
Paul

Paul --

Thanks for your reply. This is strange. Why would my version NOT have the ACTIONS others have. I have gone into my Register and deleted the OPUS v7 listings. Upon starting OPUS v7 it asks for my Activation and Name codes. After entering them, OPUS starts, but without the 8 missing ACTIONS. I'm baffled. It must have something to do with the Registry... But what?

I just removed OPUS v7 using the Control Panel, then used Regedit to remove both of the OPUS v7 registry entries. I re-started my computer, then installed OPUS v7.01. I used my Activation Codes and OPUS starts, but the 8 Actions are still missing. Ideas?

Hi Fred,

Are you just having 'some fun' today and pulling our collective legs? :P

What you describe is the filtering of feature set available when you have Publication type of:
Opus SCORM

To verify, you can change the Pub type, Apply... and then immediately Click on the Page icon (lower left of same properties Dialogue box) and look at the Actions Tab for the page. This combination of available Actions is specific to SCORM.

Cheers,
Larry

Larry (and Mack) --

Yes, that was the "problem." A client, who's heavy into SCORM Pubs, sent me a CBT they did on their own. Without thinking about the SCORM limitations, I opened it and started to make notes of things they could improve and simplify. I finally got to a Page where they needed an Object to change colors, so I immediately thought of the Action -> Attributes, but that's when I couldn't find it. Apparently when you select "SCORM" you loose the last 8 Actions in OPUS.

My BAD! As soon as I closed the "offending" Publication, and started a full OPUS Pub, all the "missing" Actions were back. Great catch guys!!!!!! Thank you. If I had started this myself from scratch, I'm sure I would have thought of this (OK, cut me some slack and agree with me...) .

No "Harm" done.

I only happen to have an idea about this after reading Emberton's post this last ~week that SCORM pubs had to run in a Browser, so I had looked-into that type and its configuration a bit.
