I'll take a look at this alternative, but liked your suggestion about the arrays, after the result was satisfactory and the script worked to achieve the goal.
Some people worry about the elegance of the script, write a few lines, but in the end, I think the important thing is to achieve the same goal: to see the interaction with the end user being established as needed by the program.
