Hello to all, I am a new with Opus and am trying to make two buttons which let me zoom in and zoom out of an image displayed on the screen. Basically the image is a large map diagram 4 times the size of the screen. I have got the scrolling bars working so can move the map about up/down/left/right but would really like to have two buttons to be able to zoom in and out of the map further to show more detail when needed. Can this be done, and if so how as I can't figure this one out on my own. Any help would be really really appreciated. Many thanks for your time. Regards Anthony.

The simple way to do this is using the action > animation > scale.

The professional way, like Google or Bing maps is to use tiles.

BTW, add a profile.

Regards,

Mack

Hi Mac,

Thanks for your help Mac but unfortunately was not working the way I thought - the Action / Amination / Scale increases the object itself and not just the image within the object - maybe another way to have two screens with different scale maps but was wanting one decent map being able to view in and out at the click of a button.

Thanks Mac

Regards
Anthony

Hi Anthony,

This may be of interest to you. It's not directly what you are wanting to do, but might give you some other ideas.

At the bottom, there is a imp which has a movable magnifying glass which can be dragged over the image when you run it.

Hi Anthony,

Have you got the wrong object selected?

Here's a very simple example of what to do.

Mack

P.S The map is NOT the property of Interaktiv and we have no links to it's creation. It's provided simply as an educational resource.

Mack --

Coincidental, I am preparing a quote on a project which, I just learned, must have the ability to zoom in/out AND it has 125 rollover objects. I placed everything (Image & all Rollovers) into a Frame which I Scale H/V as you showed in your sample. I was having a problem with how I was going to move the image around, and was going to go with complex left, right, up, down buttons, but your "Allow Object to be Dragged" is a MUCH better solution.

Thanks for sharing your work! Your "dragging" idea has saved me a tremendous amount of needless work. Now let's hope I get the project.

I am hoping to use tiles to load larger images in Opus. Will update on the progress.
