Hi,

Before trying again to "reinvent the wheel," I wondered if anyone has an Opus version of Tetris or Simon (or any other similar game) and can share the IMP/script?

I would like to put a visuo-spatial type game like Tetris, Simon into an eLearning lesson: a game that challenges the user's visual (not verbal) memory and serves as a "distractor" from other visual working memory tasks.

The eLearning health and wellness lesson and concepts are from fascinating new research done on working memory at Oxford: "Can Playing the Computer Game “Tetris” Reduce the Build-Up of Flashbacks for Trauma? A Proposal from Cognitive Science" http://www.plosone.org/article/info:doi/10.1371/journal.pone.0004153

Searching online, there are JavaScript implementations of Tetris and Simon, but the source code, set up for web pages using HTML tags, does not easily translate into an Opus version that I can figure out.

So, Tetris, Simon or any other visual game sample script or IMP would be greatly appreciated.

Kind Regards,

JezJones did Simon a few years back - I'm not sure what he posted but there is an example IMP.

It's a very straightforward game anyway.

1. Create four buttons linked to variables
2. Create a random array sequence - IE each element contains value (1-4) or (0-3)
3. Loop through array, return value corresponding to button - IE 1 = button one. Then use IFs or Switch to set variable for Button one to True, then wait, then to false.

But setting button properties this will cause it to flash.

4. Then have player press buttons and check against value in array.
