Hi,
I am planning on using the Additional Resources Tab for adding videos that would then be called by using opusscript. The reason for using the additional resources option is that the videos will get embedded once I publish - and I would be able to use them within my publication using opusscript.

However I have to use a number of videos (more than 4 GB of videos)- and on publishing - they are all getting embedded in the same .ilm file. Is there a way by which I can distribute the embedding of videos amongst different chapters - so that they get embedded in different ilm files.

Regards,
Anand

When you publish there is an option for a data file per chapter. If the videos are additional resources in each chapter, this will work. Don't forget that FAT32 has a file size limitation of 4GB - so you'll hit problems anyway if you create files this big.

Thanks for a prompt reply.
I am publishing using the option that each chapter gets published as a separate data file. I am also attaching additional resources to different pages which reside in different chapters. To illustrate see as below (just an example - not actual file sizes).
Chapter 1
Page 1 - In the additional resource for this page I am attaching as video 500 MB large.

Chapter 2
Page 2 - In the additional resource for this page I am attaching as video 400 MB large

When I publish using the option of embedded videos, both the videos residing in different pages of different chapters, get clubbed into one additional single ilm file which becomes approx 900 MB large. The other ilm files for the two chapters retain very small file size.

Can you please try at your end to replicate the issue - I may be making a mistake somewhere.

Regards,
Anand

Works fine.

Chapter One > Page One > Additional Resources - MPG1 Video Clip One

Add video object to page using variable.

Chapter Two > Page Two > Additional Resources - MPG1 Video Clip Two

Add video object to page using variable.

Publish with data files for each chapter and video embedding on.
