Hi folks,

I hope somebody can help.

I only have a widescreen monitor. If I design something in 1280x720 how will it display on a more traditional 1024x768? Will it keep the widescreen shape and just put black bars top and bottom?

I also have windows video on each page. Will that be affected?

If Creator is the same as Opus then it depends on your settings.

If set to full screen with no resize options, the page will be displayed full size but offset (as found in Chapter > Properties > General) such as top left and you will have a scrollbar.

However, if you set the resize options (Chapter > Properties > General) the page will fit itself to the screen resolution. If this uses maintain ratio - then the page will fit to screen but with a black (or specified by you) border.

Of course, there are all manner of other settings such as changing the screen resolution, but the above two might help.

Mack

Thanks for replying Mac.

I've just tried resetting the resolution of my 1920x1080 monitor to 1024x768.

When I do this it puts black bars above and below my 1280x720 presentation but also squashes it.

...and the wmv video wouldn't play.

EDIT: I think I understand it now. Though my monitor changes the number of pixels it's still a widescreen monitor.
