I have a problem.
Can you help me solve it?

At present, I choose the software for the new project.
Opus Pro has all the features I needed.

But ...

Text block with cyrillic charasters (large enough) leads to the collapse of the program. With latin characters everything works fine.
Change of different fonts, charaster set and a clean installation program does not help.
With the collapse may issue the following message:

"Access violation - no RTTI data!" or "Runtime error".

and hang or crash.


Opus Pro 7.05 trial.
System-Windows XP SP3.

Not sure of your specific problem, but one thing to check is to make sure all object names and all variable names are unique. In most basic terms, this means do not have an object named Text02 and also a variable named Text02. (there are some more complex discussions around this, but at least take care initially).

There is an Option or Preference setting in Opus to use 'safe naming' -- so that there are no blanks -- I suggest you Enable that feature.

Unicode character sets and fonts require memory -- make sure your Font set is robust (i.e., works well in other applications).

For this type of issue, you may need to say more about your hardware configuration -- esp. graphics card. etc.

You probably need to say more about where and how this error is showing up --- in F5 Preview mode or after Publishing. Also, what is your Publication TYPE... Full/Professional vs. Flex etc

Thank you for your attention to my problem.

The problem arises in the following circumstances:
1. create a new blank publication
2. choose Opus Pro or Opus Flex
3. create text
4. paste or type cyrillic text into a text block (300 characters or more, in my case)
5. after that, I can not run the preview page and publications, call up the object properties
6. change font size leads to the collapse of the program.
7. often the program does not respond and delete it obtained only by task manager

If I do everything well, but inserts text with Latin characters - then everything works fine.
The problem arises only if the copying or typing Cyrillic text.
When you type text in Cyrillic encoding symbols may appear unrelated to the Cyrillic character set.
A relatively short text block - a few words (10-15 characters, in my case) - does not lead to problems.

No problems with the fonts in other programs do not.

I suggest you contact DW support. Send them a message while in Opus app, and they will receive details of your system configuration as well. You might also email sales at DW and let them know that you have this problem/unicode issue with v7.05, and that you sent a support request.
