I think it's a design issue. It's been while since using drawing tools but using the reload page to clear the drawing does work - I checked our geopaper application: http://www.repository.interaktiv.co.uk/geopaper/

The difference is that I use arrays and OOP to handle the drawing / re-drawing or new drawing on the page / reset page. This is similar to tracking clones and I think it may have been discussed before.

Hi Mack
Thanks for the reply.
I just want to revisit a page and draw a line between two objects, seems strange that I cant. But as allways with opus theres more than one way to skin a ...... (sensitivity required - you might be a _ _ _ lover Mack). Would it be possible for you(or anyone else) to push me in the right direction.
Thanks again
Cheers
Paul

[Lar EDIT: oops. I thought I had got your example working. But I jumped the gun, as it did not work when published. So I've removed what I prematurely wrote.]

Hi Paul,

Prefer beer but cats are okay.

Here's a working example. It uses a new clone each time the page loads.

Paul, I'm sure Mackavi has given you a robust and real solution (with clones and specific handling).

I think I have a simple workaround (which I fail to understand why it would work  )

Simply do this: Instead of Refreshing the Current Page, go to another PageX and then come back to Page1.
You could have a very small size PageX in a separate Chapter, with one button the User presses to 'Continue' -- simply have Action to Goto Page1.
You could leave the User out of it, and do the same thing with an On-show Trigger for PageX and have the redirect back to Page1 execute automatically. (maybe a wait(0) if needed).

I think I recall some prior discussion in the forum about such tricks. Does anyone have reason 'why'?

Hi Mack & Lars
Really appreaciate your time and efforts. Both solutions work but I can understand Macks better and will proceed with that. So Lars I owe you a pint and Mack I owe you a pint and a tin of cat food.
Cheers Lads

Paul,
Sorry to confuse. Maybe too much detail.

For others who may encounter a similar problem, the workaround (in this case) is simple:
Do not RESET the current Page.
Instead, navigate to another Page and then return to Page you were on. (assumes you have saved data in Pub level variables, or written to file, etc. for any states you wanted to restore).

No probs Lars
One more question.. if I use Macks solution do I need to distroy the unused clones as I will be going back and forth to the page, so many clones may be created or does this matter.
Cheers
Paul

Oups - Looks like clones are destroyed when I leave the page so everythings fine - just ignore me.
