I am trying to subtract the "score correct" value of a variable from another variable (mytotal) with a fixed number (25) to be displayed in a third number variable called "failure". Like If correct 8 and mytotal 25 then failure 17
When I open the page I see the first to variables but I can't work out how to show the subtraction on the third variable "failure".
I want so see the subtraction when I open the page without any button to set the action.
I have tried with the triger ""on Show" for the "failure" variable with the action subtract "score correct" from mytotal but doesn't work.
Any help someone?
Thanks

Hi Isma,

Do you just need to see the result on screen in a text box? If so, when you create your text box and right click to insert variable you can choose constant expression instead. Here you can add the expression for calculation and the result will be displayed on screen.

Thank you and Yes, I only need to show the result in a text box. I have just been trying with the constant expression.
I looked at the opus help but if I write the c. expression < 25 - Score_Correct> it will show me something like -1.#IND
What am I doing wrong? All I want is 25 minus the Score Correct variable.

The exact expression is:

25-SCORE_CORRECT

Case sensitive. If the above is what you have in the constant expression box and you still get an error, can you post the IMP and I'll have a look.
