Hello everyone and Happy New Year. I hate that I have to start the new year off with questions like this one but I am having the craziest time trying to figure out a workable solution. I have a blank chapter and page that is 1280x1400 and when I preview the page it shows that Opus has placed a scrollbar on the page (which is great) unfortunately I do not know how or even if that scrollbar is editable. I want to edit it to uniform if with the rest of the publication. Can anyone please help me? Much thanx in advance. PS. I'm working with Opus XE.

Yes, Happy New Year to you too.

If I understand correctly, you have designed a large Page layout -- and I think it does not fit the PC Display when the Pub is run (Previewed). The scrollbar is under the control of Windows. In current versions of the OpusPro application, you can set Publication Properties to display fullscreen, display in a Window, etc. There are also some options for Chapter display under chap properties.

There may be a workaround strategy. I say 'strategy' because it means rethinking your whole plan for Page size. (And I am working with current Opus app concepts here).
- use a smaller Page size -- something more normal for LCD display resolutions and aspect ratios.
- create a large Frame object... initially make it Page size, but then hold down the Ctrl Key while resizing the Frame beyond the Page limits. Edit the Frame properties to your original idea of 1280x1400 viewing size.
- manually add a Scrollbar object to the large Frame.
- put all of you objects and page content in that large Frame.
----> when you Preview the Pub, it should display only in the visible range of your PC display and the scrolling Frame should allow you to... scroll to see the rest of the content.

Thanx Stephen man, life for me just got a lot less complicated. I feel like such a D.A. for not checking the upgrade prices. Thanx again I'll be joining the OV7 crowd very soon.
