Hello

I'm a bit puzzled by the actions when I try to copy.
I have a completed programme which works fine. :D

I want to copy some chapters or pages into another programme.
So I load the other programme - select the item I want to copy.

When I use CTRL/C and CTRL/V all the content of each page is doubled in the copy.
This results in some of my images not displaying and I have to delete duplicates
or it doesn't work properly.

Now one or two pages would be OK - just! - but when it's dozens it gets very, very tedious.

Am I doing something wrongly? :(

Kind regards & happy new year to all.

Yes, posted several times before - though I don't remember any exact reason why it occurs. Given the complex behind the scenes of the pages and the security changes in properties,l I suppose these may affect mass copying.

I'd suggest setting up the chapters in the new publication and then drag and dropping the pages, even one at a time from the old publication to the new one. It's slow and steady but should take long and if any of the pages are corrupt and causing the problem, you will be able to spot them.

Thanks - I've been trying a page at a time and it seems to work.
I guess Opus gets confused when you ask it to do a lot!
Cheers

Hi, it is not Opus but your memory buffer that is not enough to carry all what you want to copy and paste from one place to another.
Also, check you have not "involuntarily" deleted any of your resources. This may affect the process of "copy and paste" as well.
Cheers

Hi

Thanks for the reply.

With 8Gbs of RAM in my new machine I can't concurr with your observations
as the buffer will be big also.

And nothing is deleted or lost as it's there in the pages I try to copy.

Apparently others have suffered this problem too.

I like Opus and my programme is very satisfying. I'm just slowed
down by this discrepancy.

Thanks for showing an interest.

Kind regards
