Hi All, I am wanting to do a survey for a course run where I work and wonder if anyone has an example so that I can get an idea of what to do and the work involved. Many thanks for any help which can be offered. Best Regards.

You probably could construct a survey using Opus, but if your survey is a one off course survey it might be mnuch more efficient time wise to use something like surveymonkey which is free if the number of questions and respondents is small.

If you want something that you can reuse over and over, you certainly can construct using Opus. I don't have any specific example that I can attach that could help you but if you were to begin constructing your survey and you ran into trouble, I'm sure there is excellent, experienced and qualified help here.

Cheers

Graham

Hi Graham, thankyou so much for a quick response. Unfortunately I ommited to say that it needs to be an offline application running on a standalone system. I'll have a look at surveymonkey anyway as it may give some ideas. Thanks again for your time and advice Graham.

Cheers
Anthony

Is the whole thing off-line including the data return method?

Hi Mac,
Yes the whole thing would be offline on a standalone PC with just recording the values recorded to a text file or something. Any help always appreciated or even an example to learn from if one exists somewhere.

Cheers
Anthony

You want to take a look at the storage actions and the write to disk functionality. These will allow you to save the variables from your forms to a text file.

As this is now a specific Opus request, you'll get a better response if you post a specific question in the correct section rather than the lounge.
