I am creating a unit of classroom instruction and would like the instructors to be able to use their presentation remotes to progress across multiple slides much like they would if this were built in powerpoint. The presentation remote is not recognizing this action. I also want to be able to include builds on my screens and not have that conflict with clicking on the remote to progress to the next slide when needed. Anyone have any ideas?

What does the remote emulate?

How is your publication set-up to capture this?

I called Logitech to find out what keyboard command presenter was sending to pp to get the slide to progress to the next one and they referred me to the following list of shortcut key commands for advancing to the next slide: mouse click, spacebar, N, Right Arrow, Down arrow and Page down.

The closest thing OPUS has to any of these are:

as a trigger “left mouse click” or "Right mouse click"
as an action to “Go to page X” and "Go to Page Forward"

Neither of these worked when tested with the presenter.

I've ruled out a faulty presenter as I have tested it on a pp presentation and it worked just fine.

left / right click would require the publication to have focus and the cursor to be over the object with the action such as the page or button.

The other triggers are possible, just use Advanced > Key press or release.

I don't have a presenter, but I can assign shortcut key commands to my tablet and they work fine with the trigger above.

Just thought I'd let you know how we resolved this;
we used a sw called OSD Hotkey to find out what hotkeys the presenter was sending to PP. It turned out to be Page Up and Page Down. I used the OPUS key Press feature to set the trigger and action to those specifications and Presenter is now speaking to OPUS. It's awesome - thank you.

I'm going to look into writing script to differentiate between using the presenter to page forward and back and causing page builds to come up as needed.

Glad it worked. Opus is a very powerful application - enjoy.

BTW, you'll get more / better response if you update your profile to include basic details such as Opus version, etc.
