Just playing around with using variables. Have attached screenshot of actions. What happens is that the first IF happens, the variable is set to 1 but when I click the mouse the second IF doesn't happen. I suspect this is a mis-understanding of how Opus works but would appreciate some guidance. Thanks!!

It's a common mistake.

You've asked it to check for the first IF and if true do various things including setting your value to one.

But, it'll then check the second IF, which will also be true (you've just set the value above) and reset the value to zero.

The second IF needs removing and you should use an ELSE statement.

Thanks Mack, I assumed that it exited after it had completed the first if. However it still doesn't ever seem to do the second part, the else, any ideas? Thanks

Retried this and if I set the animation to once it does work correctly, if I set the animation to continuous it doesn't. Is there a way to have the animation continuous until I click? Thanks

The If Else appears fine.

The continuous spin prevents the other actions occurring. You'll need to think laterally on this one and control the events differently. One simple idea would be to have two buttons instead of one. One to increment the variable and start spin, the other resets the variable, etc.

If you place them on top of each other and hide them / show them once clicked - they'll appear as one button controlling both events.

There are other ways though.
