Hi,

What is the easiest way to check if my publication is online and has internet access?

I was going to POST to http://www.google.com and get a response stored in a variable and check if it is equal to something.

Any other suggestions?

I would do the same. I would probably also give it three chances (with a small delay on each try) with the results shown in a dialogue - to allow the user to allow the connection (firewall) or to connect to the Internet.
