Hi,
Thank you for your enquiry.
This effect was achieved by cropping the source image to the size of the publication (800 x 600 pixels), then applying Paint Shop Pro 9's Seamless Tiling filter allowing two copies of the image to be placed side-by-side with no visible join. I believe that many other image editors (including the freeware GIMP editor -
http://www.gimp.org ) offer a similar effect.
I then created a new, blank publication in Opus, added an Image object which filled the whole page and set this object to the seamless image I created in Paint Shop Pro. I then duplicated this image object and placed the duplicate outside the boundary of the page, aligned to the right-hand edge of the original object.
I now applied the following actions to the page:
On Show
Simultaneous Action Group
Move Horizontal Image 1
Move Horizontal Image 2
I set both
Move Horizontal actions to the following settings:
Duration: 10.00 secs
Across: -800 pixels
Repeat: Continuously
At End: Reset
You should now find that both images scroll to the left creating a continuous scrolling effect.
I have attached the original sky image used in the Opus Presenter 04.50, Opus Pro 04.50 and Opus Pro XE 04.50 installation menus.
Kind regards,
