Hi,

Thank you for your enquiry.

The quickest solution would be to initialise Opus' registry settings using the following procedure:

- Ensure that Opus is not running

- Click Start > Programs to open the program group

- You should now be able to see an entry for Illuminatus Opus, Illuminatus Opus Pro, Opus Pro XE, Opus Pro 04 or Opus Pro XE 04, depending on which version of Opus Pro you have installed. Please click on the relevant entry to display its submenu

- Position the cursor over the Opus application shortcut as if you were going to launch the program, but do not click on the shortcut

- Position two fingers over the Ctrl and Alt keys in the bottom-left of the keyboard

- Left-click on the application shortcut to launch the program, then immediately depress the Ctrl and Alt keys simultaneously and keep them depressed

- A prompt should appear on-screen asking if you wish to clear the application registry settings. Click Yes

Opus should now behave like a new installation with all the default toolbar and configuration settings and prompts.

If you have made a number of customisations to the Opus workspace and do not want to lose this, you can manually set the behaviour of the Page Delete prompt using the following procedure:

- Ensure that Opus is not running

- Click Start > Run > type regedit and click OK

- Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Digital Workshop\Opus Professional\Messages

- The DeletePage will currently be set to 1 (which suppresses the confirmation dialog). Simply double-click on this key to open the Edit DWORD Value box, set this to 0, then click OK

- Now close the Registry Editor using the X icon in the top-right of the window

- Launch Opus, create a blank new publication and try deleting the first page. The confirmation dialog should now appear

Kind regards,

Drat, no way to do it without losing all my other defaults?

Bit annoying that it has a tickbox on the dialog box for you to do it but nowhere for you to undo it!

Please read the bottom section of my reply (starting "If you have made a number of customisations to the Opus workspace..."). This shows you how to restore the delete confirmation without affecting your other settings and preferences.

Kind regards,

The word is 'd'oh'. Sorry--missed that bit. Read the first few lines and brain went on autopilot assuming it was the standard 'here's how to reset the settings' post.

Works lovely ta.
