Hi,
Is it possible to insert typical Android functions like GPS and vibration for example?
I made some android apps with the Google App inventor but working with Opus is most of the time a lot easier.

I'd say No. But because it's impractical rather than impossible.

An Opus HTML5 publication can access the necessary API to get access to the geolocation functions and therefore you could use them as part of a webapp but an Opus Android publication uses webview and this requires enabling various functionality before use and setting permissions - most of which would take place outside, or in the background of the Opus IDE during the APK creation.

If you really need to go down this route, I'd be inclined to build an Opus HTML5 application and try a third party packager

Okay, took my own advice and looked at XDK for packaging. Our clients aren't using device-based-apps, so I'm just playing here to see what Opus HTML5 + some lateral thinking can do :-)

Updated XDK manually to v1494.

Build Opus HTML5 application and used following code as bases for location:

https://software.intel.com/en-us/node/493231

It failed :-(

Did some checking and discovered some of the Intel API has been updated to Cordova:

https://software.intel.com/en-us/html5/ ... eolocation and here:

https://cordova.apache.org/docs/en/3.3. ... ml#Storage

So changed the line:

intel.xdk.geolocation.getCurrentPosition(suc,fail)

to

navigator.geolocation.getCurrentPosition(suc,fail)

and Android application now has geolocation :-)

Here's the APK. I ran it on ICS.
