The area taken up by the drop-down menu and the logo seems to be quite big. could distruct the main thrust of the presentation/course. 25% or less of the viewing area would be ideal, or someway of shrinking this upon access to the course contents.

The main interface was done totally in OPus with a feel of a webpage with dropdown menus. The menus not cover more that 10% of the screen area when used.
This is use for interface and module explanations and collecting score with scripting behind of modules completed. This is non linear application since it was required like that for the customer.
The application is not 800 x 600 or 640 x 480 but instead is less area to accomodate people with different screen resolutions in the company. I can use Opus to force the change of screen but I do not like to do that.
The big logo is just in the splash screen of each demo and the size is decided by the Dept of Public Affairs of this company so I do not have a say in this.

The demos are flash projectors. The decision of calling the demos from a link inside the main publication and not embedding the swf files in Opus is a logistic one. This application will be used in a network environment and in this one, you can't see files embedded in opus fields like doc fields or swf files. The administrators of the network are not prepared to change this so I have to work around this limitation.
Links from inside opus launch pdf files, flash projectors basically. There are no word or excel files.
A flash projector can play a video even if the customer do not have the macromedia flash plugin installed. A flash projector embed the plugin to play.
When people click on the demo, the flash projector is launched and is presented at the top of the opus application for obvious reasons. When people finish the demo or the interactive demo, they can click on an exit button that appears at the projector controls at the bottom of the demo or by clicking on the upper right corner to close the window.
The flash files were manipulated using Macromedia Flash Professional. I added bit and pieces of scripting to capture scores and all that sort of things.
Overall, the client is very pleased with the work and I have already been commissioned to do the next training on Microsoft Excel.
I wanted to show the pdf and flash files from doc fields in Opus but the network environment is the limitation, not Opus.
One more thing....I use Photoshop CS to do my artwork.
